Registration is open for the 2026 Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference – ʻImi i ke Ēwe o ka ʻĀina
The Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance will be holding the 33rd
annual Hawaiʻi Conservation Conference (HCC) on Tuesday, July 14th through Thursday, July 16th, 2026, at the Sheraton Waikīkī and Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Honolulu.
This year’s conference theme, ʻImi i ke Ēwe o ka ʻĀina (guided by the wisdom of ‘āina), reminds us that over millions of years, Hawai‘i’s ecosystems and native species have evolved and adapted into the biocultural environments we care for today. Acknowledging that our time horizon as humans caring for Hawai‘i is brief, we search for that deep continuum of knowledge, and we call upon the imagery of ke ewe, a birth cord, reminding us of our connection across generations. This year’s conference invites us to come together in that spirit — to listen, to learn, and to shape a shared path forward grounded in the wisdom of ʻāina.
Early bird registration is available through May 31st, including heavily discounted student and emerging professional registration rates. Scholarship opportunities are available for students and emerging professionals, which provides a reduced registration rate of $50. A limited number of $200 travel stipends are available for scholarship recipients traveling from neighbor islands. Applications are open and being accepted on a rolling basis until Friday, June 12th.
